Important: This document must be read together with any product page, quotation, invoice, order confirmation and other Furnible policy expressly incorporated into your purchase. Nothing in this document excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
1. Warranty provider and legal effect
This voluntary warranty is provided by Furnible Limited, Company No. 80805589, of Room A, 19/F, Max Share Centre, 367-373 King’s Road, North Point, Hong Kong. Claims can be made by emailing sales@furnible.com or messaging +852 800 938 241.
This warranty is an additional promise about eligible Furnible products. It does not exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, statutory warranty, contractual right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. A legal right may apply for longer than the three-year voluntary warranty depending on the product, price, quality, representation and applicable law.
2. Warranty period
For an eligible product purchased for normal private residential use, the warranty period is three years beginning on the recorded delivery date. If delivery occurs in separate parts, the period for each product begins when that product is delivered.
For trade, hospitality, rental, workplace, public-area, staging, development, resale or other commercial use, warranty coverage and duration are only those expressly stated in the applicable quotation, invoice or commercial agreement. The residential three-year warranty does not automatically apply to commercial use.
A repaired or replaced product or component remains covered for the unexpired portion of the original voluntary warranty unless Furnible expressly provides a longer period or applicable law requires otherwise. This does not limit statutory rights relating to the repair or replacement.
3. Products covered
This warranty applies to new products sold directly by Furnible and identified in a Furnible order confirmation or invoice, provided the product is used for its disclosed residential purpose and the customer follows reasonable assembly, use, maintenance and environmental instructions.
Clearance, final-sale, ex-display, prototype, vintage, customer-supplied, third-party branded or specially sourced products are covered only to the extent stated before purchase and as required by law.
4. What the voluntary warranty covers
Subject to the conditions and exclusions below, Furnible warrants that eligible products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship that materially affect normal function during the warranty period. Depending on the product, covered defects may include:
- Failure of a structural frame, load-bearing joint or internal support under normal intended use;
- Failure of fitted suspension, springs, webbing, mechanisms or hardware caused by defective materials or workmanship;
- Delamination, abnormal separation or structural failure of timber, veneer, stone or manufactured panels not caused by environment, impact or misuse;
- Seam or stitching failure not caused by excessive load, abrasion, pets, sharp objects or improper cleaning;
- Materially defective upholstery attachment or abnormal component failure not attributable to normal settling or wear;
- Failure of integrated electrical components supplied as part of a product, excluding replaceable bulbs, batteries and other consumables, where the product was correctly installed and used; and
- Another failure expressly accepted by Furnible as a defect in materials or workmanship.
Coverage is assessed against the approved order specification, disclosed product characteristics, intended use, reasonable durability and any mandatory legal standard.
5. Natural materials and handcrafted characteristics
The following are not defects by themselves:
- Natural timber grain, knots, mineral streaks, colour variation, medullary rays, small checks and changes caused by normal ageing;
- Leather grain, pores, scars, wrinkles, shade variation, stretch, patina and creasing that are normal for the selected leather;
- Marble, travertine and stone veining, fissures, pores, pits, mineral deposits, filled areas, shade variation and slab-to-slab differences;
- Wool, silk and textile shade, weave, slub, pile direction, shedding, abrash or dye-lot variation inherent in the material;
- Minor handcrafted asymmetry, stitching variation, upholstery compression or dimensional variation that does not materially depart from the approved specification or affect normal use; and
- Changes in colour, sheen or texture resulting from normal exposure, ageing and use.
Furnible does not apply a universal percentage manufacturing tolerance. Any dimensional or visual concern is assessed according to the product category, approved written specification, function, presentation, production method, reasonable customer expectation and applicable law.
6. Cushioning, upholstery and comfort
Foam, fibre, feather and down soften and settle with use. Creasing, body impressions, comfort changes, cushion migration and the need to rotate, plump or redistribute fillings are normal unless excessive for the product and circumstances. Fabric and leather may stretch or develop comfort wrinkles, especially on soft or loose upholstery.
Subjective preference about firmness, softness, seat depth or comfort is not a defect where the product materially matches the disclosed or approved specification. A demonstrable abnormal collapse or failure caused by defective materials or workmanship may be covered.
7. What is not covered by the voluntary warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the voluntary warranty does not cover:
- Ordinary wear and tear, expected ageing, fading, pilling, shedding, patina, surface scratching, cushion settling or comfort wrinkles;
- Accidental damage, impact, cuts, burns, stains, liquid or chemical damage, pet damage, infestation, mould, mildew, corrosion or contamination;
- Misuse, abuse, overloading, standing or jumping on furniture, use outside the disclosed purpose or failure to supervise children or pets;
- Damage caused by incorrect assembly, installation, electrical connection, wall fixing, relocation, disassembly, modification or repair by an unauthorised person;
- Failure to follow care instructions or use of unsuitable cleaners, abrasives, solvents, steam, oils, protectants or stain treatments;
- Exposure to direct sunlight, heat, air-conditioning outlets, humidity extremes, moisture, salt air, outdoor conditions or an unsuitable environment unless the product is designed for that exposure;
- Damage from floors, walls, building movement, uneven surfaces, access restrictions, cranes, lifting, storage or handling after delivery;
- Customer-supplied fabrics, materials, designs or components, except to the extent the problem was caused by Furnible workmanship;
- Variations and characteristics described in section 5;
- Replaceable bulbs, batteries, filters, glides, protectors and other consumable or maintenance items;
- Use in a commercial or public setting unless the applicable order expressly provides coverage;
- Damage or loss already compensated under a shipping, insurance, refund or other claim; and
- A defect that was specifically disclosed and accepted before purchase, subject to mandatory law.
An exclusion applies only to the extent the excluded event caused or contributed to the claimed issue. It does not exclude liability for a separate covered defect.
8. Customer responsibilities
To preserve the product and support a fair assessment, the customer should:
- Use the product only for its intended purpose and within any disclosed load or installation requirements;
- Follow the Furnible Care and Maintenance Guide and product-specific instructions;
- Protect furniture from unsuitable sunlight, moisture, heat, chemicals, sharp objects and uneven floors;
- Rotate and maintain cushions, rugs and movable components as recommended;
- Stop using a product where continued use may cause injury or further damage;
- Notify Furnible promptly after discovering a possible defect; and
- Provide reasonable access and cooperation for inspection, repair, parts delivery or collection.
Failure to take reasonable care does not automatically void the whole warranty. Coverage may be declined or reduced only to the extent the failure caused or worsened the issue, subject to applicable law.
9. How to make a warranty claim
- Contact sales@furnible.com and include the subject Warranty Claim.
- Provide the purchaser name, order or invoice number, delivery date, product name and delivery address.
- Describe the problem, when it began, how the product has been used and any relevant event.
- Provide clear full-view and close-up photographs, video and measurements requested for assessment.
- Provide photographs of labels, underside, mechanisms, installation and room conditions where relevant.
- Retain the product and relevant components. Do not repair, modify, dispose of or return it without written instructions, unless urgent action is reasonably necessary for safety.
If proof of purchase is unavailable, we may accept another reliable record that establishes the transaction. We may ask for identity or authority verification before discussing a customer record or arranging a remedy.
10. Assessment
We may assess a claim from photographs and video, request troubleshooting, arrange a remote inspection, engage a qualified technician, request return of a component or arrange collection of the product. The method will be reasonable having regard to size, location, safety, cost and the nature of the issue.
We will tell you if further information or access is needed and will aim to decide the claim within a reasonable time. Complex technical investigations, replacement production and remote locations may take longer. An assessment does not remove any right to seek an independent opinion or use a legal dispute process.
11. Available voluntary warranty remedies
If Furnible accepts a covered voluntary warranty claim, we will provide a remedy appropriate to the failure. Subject to mandatory rights, Furnible may choose to:
- Provide care guidance, adjustment or troubleshooting;
- Supply replacement hardware, fabric, leather, components or parts;
- Arrange repair at the delivery address or another suitable location;
- Collect and repair the product;
- Replace the affected component or product with the same or a reasonably equivalent item; or
- Provide a refund or other fair resolution where repair or replacement is unavailable or disproportionate.
A replacement component may come from a later production batch. Reasonable differences in shade, grain, veining, texture, hardware or construction may be unavoidable, particularly where the original material or model is discontinued. We will seek a commercially reasonable visual and functional match.
Mandatory law may give the customer, rather than Furnible, the choice of remedy in certain circumstances, including a major failure. Those rights prevail.
12. Claim-related costs
There is no charge to make a warranty claim. Where the claim is accepted, Furnible will bear the reasonable assessment, parts, repair, collection, return and redelivery costs required by this warranty and applicable law.
If an inspection reasonably establishes that no covered defect or mandatory remedy applies, Furnible may ask the customer to pay a reasonable technician, collection or redelivery cost only where the potential cost was explained and agreed before it was incurred, except where law permits otherwise. We will not charge merely because a genuine claim was unsuccessful.
13. Australian Consumer Law notice
Mandatory notice for Australian consumers: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The benefits under this three-year warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law. Consumer guarantees may continue after the voluntary warranty period where it is reasonable to expect the product to last longer.
14. Consumers in other countries
Customers may have mandatory rights under the law of the country where they reside or receive the product. Those rights are not displaced by Hong Kong governing law or by a limitation in this document where they cannot lawfully be excluded. References to repair, replacement or refund must be read subject to those local rights.
15. Transfers, resale and gifts
This voluntary warranty is issued to the original purchaser. If the product was a genuine gift, the recipient may claim with proof of the original purchase. A later owner should contact Furnible; we may extend remaining voluntary coverage at our discretion, but any statutory rights available to that owner are unaffected.
